Yosemite - Yosemite Falls

Pretty Pictures of Yosemite Falls

Each and every one's photo opp!

Pretty pretty falls...can you believe DH and Trav hiked to the top of the top fall and then across to El Cap??? OMG right?!?!?!

Yosemite - Mariposa Grove Trek

This is one of my most favorite pictures of the trip - we were waiting for the tram to the grove

A lovely rainy Yosemite day

Mason, Noah, Walker & G'pa S.!!

Cutie pies G'ma & G'pa!

Another great day in Yosemite with the family!

Yosemite - Vernal Fall Trek

The clan minus Travis & DH headed out for the trek to Vernal Fall...G'ma determined early that her newly operated on knee was not ready for the hike - we're so glad she did, it was a challenge for those of us with two good good knees.

Starting out - looking refreshed

Walker thought it was funny to show all us old folks up

by running most the way

G'pa S. and a view

Re-energizing with a healthy snack

Return trek - not looking as rested

But Noah is sure enjoying himself!!

You may be asking where Travis & DH are...well they were trekking up Yosemite falls/El Capitan. Way to go boys!!!

Yosemite in June is beautiful, I was not anticipating being in complete awe of rocks and trees. It is so worth the visit. Because of all the rain we had this year the falls were outstanding!!! I will be back for sure!

Happy Birthday Mommy

I know, I know...its been months since I've posted. I'm hoping to do at lease 1 a day to get current - be ready for a C family summer overload starting June 1st!!

Happy Birthday G'ma S. - it was a big one!!

We celebrated together in Yosemite.
G'pa S. picked the cake

Trip pictures coming soon above....

Thanks for the visit D's - we love and miss you!!!

Another Day at the Beach

We were lucky enough to have our dear friends from Missoula by way of Eugene visit us for Memorial day weekend. This is the first of many posts that will show you our journey through their visit and G'ma S's birthday week.

We tried to take Noah canoeing for the first time...He pretty much screamed the entire time we were on the boat, he kept trying to climb out. He wasn't scared he just wanted to swim. Also, he REFUSED to wear his sun hat!

The only little boy on the beach in his winter hat!

Mud Man

An innocent trip to the soccer field turned into an amazing adventure!

I've realized I haven't updated you'all on Noah's 18 month stats...

Height: 34 IN = 94%

Weight: 24 lbs =50%

To those who follow carefully you may be saying that those stats are crazy off from what they have been - you're right. Little dude would not sit still or stop screaming!! It was probably our worst appointment to date. The Dr. said it was a good sign and that Noah was just very aware of his surroundings...I always wonder if they just say what they think we as parents want to hear.

My stats:

Height: 33 IN

Weight: 27 lbs

Noah's verbal skills are advancing each day yet his favorite word is still NO!!!

Noah is primo at putting his toys away and throwing away his trash. One day we spent probably a half hour looking for his eaten apple only to finally look in the trash to find his core. What a good boy!

Each day he's learning new skills and behaviors. Noah is hilarious, charming and probably the best person to spend a day with.
