Thankful for little boys

New jams! Thanks G'pa & G'ma C!
Sadly they don't seem to bringing much luck tonight.

We had a very, very low key Thanksgiving. The food was yummy and the little company we had was delightful! Us, G'ma S. and Papa. Dad and Bro were and still are in MT hunting and Auntie and cousins were visiting fam in Sac.

Historically with no change this year, we decorate for Christmas this weekend. Luckily we have a HUGE Holly tree. DH risked his life the get only the best berried branches for our decorations. Noah paid immediate attention to the tree and ornaments but since acts as though it's not even there. Fingers are crossed that it continues this way for the next 27 days.

I think we can say Noah is officially walking - not just taking steps but actually walking. Thanksgiving day he started taking more then four steps and hasn't stopped. His crawling is pretty thuddy which makes it easy to keep track of him with out actually seeing him. His walking, not so much. He's focused and stealthy, he manages to get out of the room without making a sound. We're in for it and loving every minute!

Naturally every time I have the camera out he takes just a few stepsa before hitting the ground. So, that's what your getting.

Tilt to the left and enjoy...

Happy Birthday my Love

The fam headed to the Brewery for DH's birthday dinner. It was delicious! Then to our house for dessert provided by Sis-in-law/Auntie Nance. Thank you Nance.

Cream Cheese Apple Pie w/Crisp top and
Ice Cream Mud Pie!
Yum Yum Yum!!

I would have more pictures but I cleaned the house for our company - the camera got put away.

Packages!

The Birthday Boy - 32 Years!

Just some cute pics of Noah. This is the primary view I'm getting these days. Noah spends most of his time at my feet trying to climb my legs. It's adorable unless I'm set on getting a task done, then I call for dad...

More of the same - I just love his toothy smile!

Stats at 377 Day Old

Noah had his 1 year appointment today! His doc has been gone for a month trekking the Himalayas so it was a little late. Doc was thrilled to have Noah as his first patient after being back. He did great!

Official Readings:
23.5 Pounds - 58% PERFECT!!!
31 Inches - 89% TALL
Our doc called it 90 something for height, when I charted it I got 81...we're using the average.

Teeth - 9! That have broken through. When he was bellowing while getting his shots today I noticed three more that look like their about to break the surface.

Words - Da-da, maa, ma-ma, dog, uh-oh and lots and lots of squeals!

Steps - I saw the first one tonight!!!
Only to find out that daycare Karen called DH at work last Friday to say he took three there. A little history about why I wasn't told...it makes me sad to miss his milestone. When Karen mentioned to DH a bit ago that Noah was close, DH told her not to tell me, then last week dc Karen was at my bro's watching the Giants game and I mentioned that all the great milestones were met at daycare which I'm sure just solidified DH's comment.

Other milestones:
Flushing the toilet - as often as he can
Opening and closing anything that opens and closes
Relieving the toilet paper roll of its duties by setting all the TP free
No more formula!
Forward facing carseat

At this point it doesn't seem like there's anything he's not doing or eating.

There you have it!

Hillarious Video - Mason

Is this funny enough to submit to America's Funniest Videos?

We were crying filming this and every time we re-watch.

Go GIANTS!!

We discussed and decided there are a few instances when it would be acceptable to allow Noah to eat in front of the TV.

The Giants in the World Series is one of them, especially since they won!!!

I know, I know, good parenting.

P.S. This has been a night of catching up on my posts, scroll down for a couple more. Enjoy!

HALLOWEEN!!!

Don't I look frightful?!?!?
gotta love 5 year old photography
We took the boys on the Pumpkin Express A.K.A the Skunk Train
The weather was mild,
the boys were perfect,
Halloween was off to a wonderful start.
After the 1 1/2 ride and only asking about 20 times
when we were going to get to the pumpkin patch.
Walker was the first to get there and have his pumpkin picked out.

Mason was a little more patient and sought out the perfect pumpkin.
I LOVE this sequence of shots -
try as I might I just couldn't get the perfect pumpkin patch pic but I did get some funny images.

That's as good as it gets!
This one is a keeper!

After the 1 1/2 hour ride back it was time to carve!
Walker was very diligent at getting all the gook out of his pumpkin.

Then TRICK - OR - TREATING
Adorable!
Little dude doing his best at being a scary skeleton!
The fam came over for dinner, a great World Series Game and some candy passing. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

More Birthday weekend pics

We had a great time with Noah's Tummy Mummy and Granna - we got to do all the touristy things locals often forget about!

Point Cabrillo Light House
It was an odd weather day which only added to the coastal ambiance.

The history was amazing - there only 3 of this type lens still in use. Who knew?
Noah, BM & BG'ma took their first train rides - EVER!
Luckily we were on the Old 48...the local brewery makes a beer of the same name.
Sadly we didn't get to drink any.

The train ride was a bit steamy, rainy outside and warm inside. All in all a fun time!
