The boys

Lincoln's Cabin

G'ma S was so nice to send Noah the Bicentennial Lincoln Log set for Easter. Dad thanks you G'ma S! Boys being boys - thankfully there isn't a max age for playing with Lincoln Logs

Raspberries!

I know this is a few hours early, we're having another open house tomorrow so I figured I'd get this posted while I have a minute.

NOAH IS 5 MONTHS!!!
Noah's new achievement is blowing raspberries! He gets a kick out of it and it thoroughly entertains us. I believe he's thrilled to finally have something to do with his excess saliva.

Noah is an observer. He's discovering new parts of himself each day. Today it seems it's his toes and hand a little more.

Notice the drool? In a matter of seconds he's soaked!

Noah is growing like a weed. I don't know how much he weighs or how long he is but I can tell you it now takes me two or three passes with the nail clippers when it's trip time. He's got a healthy appetite and has actually taken to eating his rice cereal. It's been nearly a week of practicing and it has finally paid off - mouth open, insert food.
When sad, which is only when he's really tired, Noah only wants Mom. Naturally I love that however I do feel a little bad for Dad - fotunately Dad doesn't take it too hard.
Each day Noah's adding a new skill to his list and constantly bringing joy to our days. It's hard to believe he will be 6 months in a matter of weeks.

Just hangin' 'round the house...

Totally tuckered after some playtime

Olives - Olives - Olives

For those of you who really know me will understand my excitement, for those who don't, you now have a glimpse you may not have wanted. I LOVE OLIVES!!! I can literally eat a can of olives in a matter of minutes. I love all kinds, black, kalamata, green, stuffed, pits, not pits - you name it.
My mother can recall a time, when she cleaned my room when I was away at a summer camp of some sort and found empty cans (many) of olives under my bed. I thought my passion was my dirty little secret but the cat was out of the bag. I now enjoy my olives in the open.
Now to the exciting part!!! I discover yesterday the Lindsay Olives makes SNACKERS!!! It's a box of 4 mini cans of olives with pull back tops to take and eat anywhere!! Brilliant I say! They have original, Italian and Garlic...I just enjoyed my first can of Garlic - yummy! As a mature adult/mommy I also appreciate the smalled more "healthy" portion size. Now if I can resist opening another can...

Something other than...

Plain formula? I had my first taste of soy formula and rice cereal...so did dad and NOAH!

We were a little disappointed, I guess we shouldn't say disappointed - Noah is such an animated little fella we really thought his first feeding would generate more of a reaction. He didn't seem to hate it nor love it.

In true Noah fashion, a BIG smile

Play time

Noah has this time change figured out! He woke this morning at 6:30 - his usual, yesterday it would have been 5:30! He's so smart!

There's usually a break at this point

Ta-da!
So proud

The haps in our hood

We had our first OPEN HOUSE on Sunday. It was a bust! We had ZERO lookers. Our agents was surprised, the weather was gorgeous which under normal circumstances would have worked towards our advantage however not when it's the first of the year. Either there are no buyers out there or they were all out doing things other than shopping for houses. I guess we weren't the only ones that had no one at an open house.

The OH forced me to have a spotless, shinny, smelling yummy house which was perfect since our Social Worker came by for our last meeting yesterday afternoon!!! We are excited to be nearing the end of the technical/official part of our journey but a little sad at the same time. CSSM has been such a big part, I guess more like a major part (without them I wouldn't even be typing this) of how our family came to be. We will always have a special place in our hearts for them and will likely keep in touch forever. It seems we're on schedule for finalization in April!

DH is on his spring break and spending some lovely time with Noah. He (DH) starts his next/LAST rotation on Monday at CVS!! Yippee! He's looking forward to getting a head start on the CVS training...two birds with one stone. This was not originally planned but has worked out wonderfully to his advantage. He will be done done done done on April 9th!

I've been working, keeping the house clean and loving my family...I wish I had more to report, tying not to make a mess of the house has really kiboshed my creative, organizing, triple A personality. Watch our Mom & Dad - not sure what I'm going to do to your house when we get there!

BTW - It's snowing! Yuck!

Johnny Jump-p

Noah's first time in his Johnny Jump-Up
Not at all sure about it

Good for chewing he decided

Second, maybe third or fourth - Love'n it!

No actual jumping yet but lots of swinging and twirling around

Just a cheese ball!

Guess What?

Noah is rolling!! He started at school yesterday and we were lucky enough to see it last night too! We didn't have any luck getting it on film though. He's such a big boy...hopefully pictures this weekend.

Practicing

Our hope is that when it comes time to starting giving Noah solids (rice cereal) the act of sitting in his highchair will be old news and his focus will be on the food. Please notice he practicing with a spoon too! We'll probably try cereal in the next few weeks.
When he's tired or needs a little privacy all it takes is a quick flip of the bib.
So tired...can hardly keep my eyes open
