Weekend Activities

What a whirlwind weekend we had! It was great...it started off with Downtown Tonite at Caras Park, followed by shopping and a BBQ, followed by the Saturday Markets then the Children's Museum then the Bison Range and lots of eating the libations between! Not sure if I've recovered yet.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures. At the bottom of this post is a SLIDESHOW - I know right...pretty impressive.

Guess who's coming?

Downtown Missoula

DH and I had a lovely Saturday. We spent about 6 hours on the river then headed to a BBQ at a friends house and then to downtown Missoula.

Did I mention I was up before 7 AM and not to bed until after 2 AM the next day? This is what happens to your face when you've been in the sun all day and a bar all night!!!

Saturday

We'll be on the river. This is the getup that DH will be wearing...just kidding. This is one of the first recorded float tubes! Glad things have improved.

I'll be getting some sun on one of these!

Drugs are BAD!

Not only do you end up looking like this (wish I had a before picture) you also rob a family that has unconditionally loved and cared for you. Plus you get arrested, get a fabulous photo shoot at the local jail...and get to look forward to your sentencing hearing. What a life - all before the age of 20. I'm so proud!

For those that don' t know, at one point she was a young healthy girl who my parents took in and raised for several years who I called sister while her mother was blazing a similar trail to what she's on now. To my knowledge her mother didn't violate family trust and steal possessions that included items passed down from mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers all in the name of the next fix. She hasn't been with my parents for several, several years but what a "Thanks guys" she's given them for the years they did keep her healthy, clean and in the good life.

We received our official license in the mail. It really doesn't mean anything but was still nice to get it.

3 Down...how many to go?

Happy Anniversary to us! Thank you to everyone who remembered us and sent cards - it's so nice to know we're thought of.

DH and I had a simple dinner downtown. We sat on a covered deck and got to enjoy all the weather the north west region has to offer...we got sun, clouds, rain, wind - no snow, it is July for goodness sake!

We then went to the Osprey Baseball game. The game was pretty boring until the 7 or 8th inning. The Osprey were trailing 3 to 5, then they had a run and won 8 to 5. They had 8 hits, 8 scores and 1 error. The Casper Ghosts had 9 hits, 5 scores and 3 errors. Go Osprey!!

3rd Anniversary 2009

Something I LOVE & Something I HATE

LOVE: This Juice-O-Matic I got at a yard sale. Not only is it esthetically interesting but functional too! DH and enjoyed fresh squeezed OJ as a night cap last night.

Two oranges fill this little cup...so totally worth it
HATE: My parents were very frustratingly violated in an awful way this weekend. While they were away, their home was entered by dirty rotten thieving creeps. Fortunately they are safe but the their valuables including, all my mothers jewelry, my fathers firearms, money, cameras, tools and most importantly the security of a safe home are all gone.

For all you praying readers out there please pray for my parents. Pray the creeps don't return for the items they didn't retrieve. Please pray that my parents home will become safe again.

4th of July

How do you make a blogger slide show? Anyone? I guess you'll just have to scroll to see the pictures.

What a fun and busy extended weekend. Our dear friends the Druffels were visiting from OR. We got to spend a little time with them, wish it were more. (Hope to have pictures of our visit soon...Tara!!?!?!?)

Floated the river with DH's Pharmacy group. Had a blast...they are a fun group (no pictures...need to get a waterproof camera)

the chick wanted $6, I talked her down to $5.

OH YEAH!

Plus it kept me occupied for a couple hours while I recovered the cushion and added the pillow.

Aside from June 7th the 4th of July may be one of my favorite holidays!!
